Awards

To promote and recognise significant contributions for the advance of knowledge in Fiber Optic Sensing/Photonics, three Awards have been established: 

• Lifetime Award 

To honour two researchers who have significantly contributed to the development of this area of Human knowledge:

• Best Paper Award 

For the best paper submitted to the conference:

• Best Student Paper Award 

For the best student paper in each of the four following categories: 

• Physical and Mechanical Sensors 

• Chemical, Environmental, Biomechanical, and Medical Sensors 

• Electromagnetic, Interferometric, Polarimetric, New Concepts 

• Distributed, Multiplexing, System Applications, and Field Trials 

Informal awards may also be attributed.
