Porto is quite an accessible city with regular flights from all over Europe, including low-cost carriers. The airport is located 11 km north of the city centre which can be reached by metro.

Visa Requirements 

Portugal is part of the border-free Schengen Area, which guarantees free movement to more than 400 million EU citizens, as well as non-EU nationals

When entering Portugal, it will be needed to show the following documents, depending on the visitant nationality: 

EU nationals: valid passport or national ID card;

Non-EU nationals who are visa-exempt: valid passport or travel document;

Non-EU nationals with visa requirements: valid passport with a Schengen or a Portuguese national visa.
